What does PS.NY mean?
Our story began in the fall of 2012, when Lara created an Instagram account. She decided to call it “Pumpkin and Sunshine,” after her and Cookie’s nicknames. As Lara became older, she decided to change the account name to something more simple and sleek, thus PS.NY was born.
Are you located in New York?
Yes. We live in Manhattan, NYC.
What is Cookie’s breed? Who is Cookie’s breeder?
Cookie is a purebred, extra large toy red poodle. He weighs around 11lbs / 5kg. Unfortunately, Cookie came from a puppy mill located somewhere in Kansas. We got him from a foster home in NYC when he was 9 weeks old.

Olia Saunders, Lara and Cookie's mom is a professional photographer and graphic designer. She takes all of the photos and runs their social media.
What kind of camera and equipment do you use?
Olia uses a Nikon D750 with various Nikkor lenses and an iPhone 6. We normally shoot at home and on location, using natural light.
I saw a few posts of custom pet portraits on your Instagram. Do you take commissions?
